抗日战争时期，为了保证大日本帝国兴国圣战计划的彻底执行，永久占据伪满洲地区，日本军部决定在西满建设号称东北亚第一的铁路枢纽站，以此作为北进苏俄的战略运输基地。河野清源是东京建设工程设计所的所长，帝国大学建筑工程部主任。河野清源在这次行动中向日本军部推荐了他的得力助手温瑞楠参与这次铁路枢纽站的建设。于是，日本军部派精锐部队寻找温瑞楠的下落。。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs. As a result of his body not being found the latter will have to wait for five years until they can inherit the count's money. Very upsetting indeed, all the more as they are required to keep up the Kéraudren estate in the meantime.
